Jake Schuster is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a professional focus on working with adults and adolescents. He is dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. Jake employs mindfulness-based, evidence-supported therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered approaches. His methods are carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering emotional attunement and encouraging exploration of thoughts and feelings to process past and present experiences. His goal is to equip clients with tools to create a fulfilling and meaningful future.

Jake’s clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, mood instability, stress, substance use disorders, and process addictions such as gambling, cyber addiction, and video game addiction. In addition to individual therapy, he has facilitated mindfulness groups for adolescents at local schools and for adults in treatment and rehabilitation settings. Jake approaches therapy as a collaborative relationship, prioritizing a safe, non-judgmental environment where genuine connection and client empowerment are at the forefront.

Jake holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Michigan. Currently, he is pursuing certifications in sports and mental performance psychology as well as his licensure as a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC).

He has received specialized training in the following therapeutic approaches:
