As a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, my philosophy about being a therapist is to provide therapeutic support and a place for individuals, couples, and children to feel safe to share personal experiences. Do you have areas of your life that may be causing stress or feeling like you cannot move forward or are overwhelmed and stuck in a rut? Maybe you aren’t getting out of bed, or everything takes extra effort. Maybe your relationship is falling apart and you don’t where to even start. Let’s take a step together towards freedom…
My philosophy includes several years of utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy. I also provide Evidence-based therapies, Trauma-focused, Seeking Safety, Grief work, Harm Reduction, Relational Dynamics, Recovery Strategies, Healthy Relationships, Effective Communication, Motivational Interviewing, Creative Expression, ACT Techniques, Narrative therapies, and other modalities as appropriate.
Along with my love of practicing as a clinical therapist, I have been a Buddhist for the past twenty-five years. In my work, I utilize principles that create a warm and supportive space. I believe in compassion, acceptance, and a judgment-free environment. I like for every person to feel heard and welcome. I am a Level I Reiki Practitioner and offer that as a service as well.
From anxiety and depression to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), we utilize holistic talk therapies and innovative treatments like eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).
